" drivecam " is what many fleets are installing Internal and external cameras that are constantly recording but only 20 hold secs of data . If the vehicle has excessive G force , heavy Braking or impact or if the driver pushes the dash mounted button then the device sends a total of 20 secs footage via satellite ( 10 secs either side of the activation event ) These go to a processing centre in USA I think where they review the " incident " for anything that the company has asked them to be looking out for ( ie on phone , eating whilst driving etc etc ) Company then gets a login to a online portal where they can see the clips where innapproprate behaviour has been identified but saves the fleet manager having to trawl through hours of footage and oh also has a GPS with real time speed imprinted on screen so if you trigger the G force sensor doing 75 into a 55 posted corner you might have some explaining to do ! .

For the people complaining about slow moving traffic, wait until you get stuck behind a truck that will be doing 10km/h UNDER the posted corner signs through a gorge
