I think with a 50kw difference at the wheels you would have more chance of putting in fluffy dice, fake spinners, and a 3M carbon hood to make up the difference!

Um, yes? It's all part of a package. If you want power but no steering go buy some yankee piece of junk. The 530i is very well known for it's good handling and steering. Having a bigger heavier engine and being able to accelerate slightly quicker doesn't necessarily make for a better car.
I don't think you are listening to the arguments though.

the power difference isnt the only engine factor in accelleration
why extractors are so much better isnt stricly due to them making more power
