When to service CVT ?

Hi all

I got a Toyota Blade 2.4 with the CVT. Its nearly done 120k kms. Just wondering when should the CVT fluid be changed?

I've got no record of whether its been changed before as its a Japanese import.

Now, 50000ks/3yrs I think.

look at the colour on the stick or do it now then
50-60k and make sure you get the right fluid, you can just undo the plug and drain it out then refill with same amount

No dipstick in these CVTs, also, draining the fluid from the drain plug only drains half. The sump holds a lot of fluid and needs to be removed to get at the remaining fluid.

My mates corolla with CVT was recently serviced due to a recall, new fluid was put in and the rep told him that doesn't need to be changed for 6 years.

thats crazy, one way to get toyota to get you to take it for service and 6 years i dont think so

It was DUE to be serviced at 60000km and again at 120k
If it had done more than 60k when you bought it most likely it was done in Japan---but just in case do it now,-its due anyway
