had my oil & filter done at oil changers Rotorua checked level next day found it 12mm over the full mark , im too far away to take it back, is this a problem cheers

Yes all good as in the other two posts, don't worry about it. People over dramatise things sometimes. 10 mm over or under is all good.

Do the manufactures "over dramatise things" when they write in service manuals "do not overfill"

I would think the manuafacturers dipstick markings would leave a margin for error - probably quite a generous one.

Putting too much oil in can mean it gets into the intake, not burnt properly & goes thru the cat converter, ruining it. $$$$$$)
