But these scum bags insist on keeping your car insurance premiums if a car is written off:

A mate bought a car last week that 'Wouldnt start, wouldn't turn over at all, but randomly'
It turned out to be the interlock switchs plug on the automatics gearlever.

The one he bought this week was something as easy as that to fix too. ( I will get back on this, his description of 'thermostat & underlay pressed against it' is too ambiguous )
A couple of others beforehand were just Thermostats needing replacing ( one had grass in it ! ) & A tidy up.
One was the brake hoses closing up inside, probably because of not replacing the brake fluid &/or using a clamp on the brake hoses.

Most problems with cars are very simple really. Even if they take a lot of work to isolate the problem itself.
Most problems I come across have been caused by not flushing & replacing coolant when it's been needed.

Are you sure it’s a 2008 not a 1998?

Yes positive. Why, do you want to offer me something for it?
