obd 2 is obd2 the standard is worldwide not limited to japan

not all cars that have the obd2 plug are actually obd2 compatible. most jap stuff used the plugs but used thier own protocols, later stuff (after 2004ish ) should be ok tho from japan, also obd2 is not the same as the european eobd
so people buying those loggers from repco need to watch out that just because it has the plug dont mean it will work.
