Just an update, went to see it sunday evening. After not being started for 3 months it turned over perfectly fine with our battery. It took a few goes to keep it running as it was a bit cold and it could do with a tune, but then it ran beautifully, no problems. Let it idle until it was warm then turned it off and tried to start it again and it worked perfectly without any problems at all. Started perfectly first go when it was warm.
We are going to see it again next week and take it for a WOF just to check they don't pick up anything WOFable we haven't noticed (I doubt it but worth a check).
Thanks for the advice, we were a bit worried but it wasn't tight, or stiff at all.
