so, as i need a 4 speed to fit on the back of the Chev, which was cast in 1970-1973, would this fit the old girl.348005420.i suppose my concerns are the tail shaft/shifter, whether its suitable. also what to look for. Your input, as always, is appreciated, cheers.

ah thanks mate. thats quite good. i have a bellhousing and clutch, suitable for a 4 speed box, so perhaps its a start. in saying that 1200 for a box is a bit high. thanks for the LHD advice i never thought of that.

nah money no problem. i have an M21 for the other old girl. Its economics but if 1200 is a fair price so be it. Hotrodpete i reckon you might have done a few projects, if you were i, and you were wanting a 4 speed for your HT, would it be a goer. I can only assume my bellhousing will fit based on internet searches on the part number. All i could find was 'bellhousing for chevy engine and chevy 4 speed. Its on the watchlist anyway. cheers for the advice. Gotta love motoring.
