Assuming it hasn't had the guts thumped out of it yes it probably is a good buy.A black manual 8 is always going to have good resale value.Some of those early Gen3 motors did have problems with excess piston noise and oil consumption though, as always its wise to get a thorough PP inspection done on any vehicle by someone who knows the model well.Any car that seems rattly or has a general slack feel to the drivetrain, juddery clutches etcare pretty good indicators its been used hard, no matter how well the seller says they have looked after it.
