I have done front brake pads on cars but not rear ones.what should I look out for! handbrake! piston back in! anything else.thanks

You will need to wind the pistons in (clockwise) to retract them.

Yes, but make sure you unwind the adjustment on the handbrake lever first with a 12mm socket, long extension and ratchet.Once the calipers are back on and secure, start the engine and pump the brakes until you get a firm pedal. Readjust the handbrake lever so that 1-2 clicks takes up the slack and 4-7 holds the car firmly. Over-tightening the handbrake wears the pads excessively fast. Genuine rear pads last approx 40,000kms.
Has the ABS fluid be changed recently (if it has ABS)! If not, do it now.
