Hey guys have had a hilux surf and was getting quite warm the other day.overflow tank still full of my bright green antifreeze but wont suck back into the radiator.does it sound like blown headgasket>!

Could be your thermostat, Take it out and put it in a jug of boiling water and see if its opening up. if it doesnt its knackerd

And then hope and pray it fixes it.Diesel Surf!A coolant overflow that fills up and doesn't suck back in again is the classic sign of a cracked head on those things, especially 1KZ-TE's.

damn, well i will check thermostat tomorow and then if not will haveto take it in to mechanic to get checked

You're on to it!It's not something you can do on the cheap either, its got to be done once and done right, and preferably with genuine parts.New radiators are often needed too.
