My son loves his - a bit thirsty - seems to have a bit of a weak gearbox - pretty good car really - plenty of go fast things can be done - his 2L goes better than his mate's 2.5. think it's the sort of car that needs an 'enthusiast' owner.

I have a VR4 Legnum.Bit thirsty in the gas but apart from that I love it.Very nice car to drive.

Only prob I have had is needing to get the AYC serviced which was quite expensive and could only be done at a mitsi dealership

iv herd most mitsi v6 motors r thirsty but all depends how u drive it i spose

Nope they are thirsty, period. Doesnt matter how you try to drive it. Dont expect more than 350kms to a tank and thats driving nicely.

Depends on where you drive - they do suck around town but 5-600km is doable open road in the manual ones.

Bollocks
I used to have a 88 GLX V3000 galant with the 5 speed manual box
Was far cheaper to run then most other V6's around of the same size CC.
Often use to go from Hamilton to Wanganui on just over half a tank via the coast road.
Wellington via National Park was 1 tank (thats about 550kms to a tank / 2 adults & 3 teens plus gear) & not mucking about either.

Bollocks again.
ANY turbo model vehicle tends to be thirsty, mostly because ppl tend to USE THE POWER

I would get almost 750kms to a 50L tank in my 1993 Galant V6, and it had 200hp behind it too. Granted it wasn't a turbo VR-4, but still went quite as quick as one. My earlier 6th gen VR-4 can get about 450-500kms to a tank if driven nicely. I had a tiptronic 8G Legnum VR-4 and that could get 400-450kms to a tank also. I would say a 5spd manual 7G or 8G VR-4 would get around 450-550kms to a tank.
