You can put a turbo on pretty much anything you want. Is it worth it! No, not really. If you want a turbo Legacy, sell yours and buy one.

Lol. I knew a 2.5 litre powered 1999 sti type R awhile back. was fast and had been turbo charged correctly. but very unreliable.headgaskets became very expendable

Correctly! I wouldn't put anything but a mls cosworth headgasket on that engine and i've never seen or heard of one blowing yet.even the factory mls item that a ej20r has is nearly bulletproof.Its the graphite ones on opendeck blocks that are common for blowing. Perhaps it wasn't what you thought it was!
