The electronic ignition has died on my 1100 Sport. A new one costs a whopping $1600.00. Does anyone know if these can be rebuilt !

Dont know about a rebuild but have you looked on ebay!Might find something cheaper on there.

Depends on specifically what component has died but in short, yes it can be rebuilt. There is a place in Perth that specialises in Guzzi electronics, new and refurbished. I'll put the link up to them tonight when I get home.

Theres a place in Nelson that repairs ECUs that might help as well.

It's just suffering from an overabundance of 'character'. Better that than a 'soulless japper' that starts when you want it and doesn't leave you stranded.
