i bought a brand new hilux in 2002, i do around 70,000 kms per year and wore my first set out pretty quick, i paid 490 a corner, toyota made new rims with that model and you could only get 1 brand,firestone, from memory, the next set kumho or another asian company had made the moulds to suit new tyre, result, 2nd set at 225 per corner.Thieving pricks As an aside my new hilux is made in thailand! 4WD tyre, $290. Car tyre, $150. Although, I now have access to tyres that I can get at cost, so from now on they'll be $90 odd each.

Pirelli 275/40/20 for 2010 camaro. Cannot get them in NZ, so it's $799 + $230 freight from Aussie.
$1000+ for one tyre, got that at McD's and CokeCola
