I have a 1970 holden . It has chrome over the rubber. Can anyone tell me how to remove the glass and the chrome cover without damaging either of them!

Have a search in http://forum.ejehclubqld.com .Slightly older, but same issues. I know I've seen a tutorial in there somewhere. Probably there's a site for your year somewhere also.

good luck! I got mine professionally removed.didn't want to risk buggering the chrome or breaking the windscreen!

Yeah, it is fragile. However, with know how, patience & a careful approach it is not so difficult.
