3 litre diesel turboi was stopped at the lights and it died .its not a battery problem and am thinking it may be a fuel problem .does anyone have an idea for what i should be looking at first.

Dash lights all correct
Turning over ok
Fuel (enough)
Power to the pump
Water in the filter/ lines
Manual or auto box
Inhibitor switch (auto box)

Cambelt!
Turns over but won't fire!
More information would help.

cam belt be the first to check. next would be the fuel filter myght be blocked up. normally they get slower and slower when filter is blocked . cam belt will make it stop out of the blue or dead sensor like crank angle sender. Post what engine its written under bonnet on the plate like the 2.4 is (2L-te) yours is likely something with kz!

a tad more info might help, did it smoke, overheat, or go with a bang when u try to restart does it try to go or does it just wind over when u crank it does it sound normal or high pitched (if its doing this open oil cap and get some1 to crank for u, u should see cam shaft moving)
