Toyota Surf Brakes (LN130)

Hi guys, doing a bit of looking around for a brake upgrade for my surf, it's a 1991 LN130, and came across some dimpled rotors. On the listing it says that up to 1991 these surfs had a 20mm thick rotor and 1991-1995 had a 25mm thick rotor. So I go and measure mine and I've got the 20mm ones.
Then I start thinking, probably a good idea to go for the thicker rotors.
So, question. Is it just a matter of replacing the rotors and calipers, or are the hub assemblies different as well to accommodate the thicker rotors?
TIA.

Why would a thicker rotor be better?

Regardless, you'd need to change the calipers also as they will have a different gap to accommodate the thicker rotors

Well if toyota decided to change to a thicker rotor half way through a model run.
I'm thinking the thicker ones will have bigger slots for better cooling, and/or being thicker will have more room to absorb heat.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I covered that in my first post :-)

At 5mm difference, they may not have changed the calipers.
Different pads maybe yes.

Surfs have 4 pot calipers that do a pretty dang good job of stopping a 2T truck even fully loaded. (when you use your brains)

The pre 90's Surfs had 2 different size pistons & the later versions have 4 of the same size pistons.

they also have two different diameter rotors and different sized pads.
i assume the upgrade is due to larger tires?
have a look on the surf forum.
i guess your also doing the rear disk conversion.
