I've just picked up a vr4 dash for my st wagon, ie put a cooler dashboard in; And I've found out that the new dash has lower K's than my real one.

My real k's & dashboard are 184, but my new one is only 148, so 36 lower.

Since these odometers are digital, I was wondering if anyone would know whether there was a way to either swap the k's, or increase them on my new (lower) one!

I woundn't even worry about it, some electronic experts may be able to help you , there are speedo repair shopsin auckland who could do it ,but it will cost, is it worth it, using your car you will pick that milage back in a couple of years anyway.

It's sometimes possible to transfer over the ROM chip that the odo info is stored on, but the chances of damaging the circuit board are high and even pro's are reluctant to do it.Take it to an instrument specialist, they hook them up to a pulse generator that simulates the signal from the speedo sensor. It won't take long to add 36K to it, maybe a day or two.
