Its like those scenes with the fonz, speedo quits, I bang on the dash and "ayyyyyyyyyy" its working again. But its taking more hits than a nz cricket supporter to keep it working. its a 1998 d22. Electric not cable, odo still runs fine. I can take it out but where do I start looking!

Yea takeit out and send it to a speedo repairer it has a cold soldered joint. easy fix for the right person.

The older Navara I had the needle had bent (I guess with heat not speed)and was rubbing on the face of the speedo.Pulled it out and straightened the needle.

took mine to speedo repairers $90.00 and it was all done same as yours.

Make that x4 Or 400. BUT the reason they bend is the rubbish material they are made of IMO. so be VERY carefull straightening it if it is bent.
