Hey guys,

How difficult is it to replace a water pump on a 1993 mitsubishi magna!

Thinking I may do it myself.

water pump on the 2.6 Magna is attached to the end of the cylinder head and hangs over the gearbox.

Yeah. Is it just a bolt on/off job!

Yes it is, long bolts hold it to the back of the engine. If anything its easier to get to than if it was at the front, the whole thing pivots on a spigot and O-ring.It goes without saying that the belt that drives it off the back of the cam should be replaced at the same time, they wear out fast and will break and cook it if you're not careful. The big snag with this system is that if it breaks you might not be aware its happened until its too late, of course it doesn't put the alternator light on like a belt breakage does in most cars.Seen this more than once.

Awesome. Cheers for that
