Im replacing my aluminum water pump which is on an alloy block. It comes with a metal gasket which has the crush ridge through it. When I put it on do I put it on dry or smear a little 3 bond on to both sides

I personally would clean both surfaces nicely with some alcohol and use a bit of RTV (or 3 bond in your case)
