Wot an insult to even consider it is suitable!

sifty, Oct 25, 8:05pm
more like

'Waaah why doesn't everybody think my car is as cool as I do! S'not fair.'

Yes it is mildly interesting, in the fact there weren't too many made and this one hasn't been butchered, but there will be geezers with original cars all over the place that all think the same, and do not understand that others do not find their pride and joy as interesting as they do.

Some people are into trains, some are into traction engines, some are into slightly bland Japanese vehicles, get over it.

I thought it was just for pre-'72 stuff! Though I've seen newer than that at BH.

Maybe my '75 Caddy IS eligible after all!

japiwi.boys, Oct 25, 9:03pm
I don't think anyone here really can see what I am getting at. I see 66, 67 68 Mustangs all the time, they are common as crap, same applies to many USA cars, Common common.Yawn , Yawn , Yawn, too Many around and they all look alike, I know because I have had them and when looking at so so many on ebay I almost fall asleep. Now go find another mid 70's TE Model Toyota Sprinter Coupe and to make it even harder a really MINT ONE. There are other Jappa Cars around that are RARE AS too.I don't know of any 66 Mustang that I could say, WOW that is RARE ! URR DAH !

sifty, Oct 25, 9:04pm
but your car is a bit boring. THAT is the issue, surely.

japiwi.boys, Oct 25, 11:50pm
Grow Up some of you, Would I really be throwing out snide remarks toward idiots if I was self promoting ! I am not that stupid, If I was self Promoting looking for a buyer I would be nice as pie.To Hell with That, I say it like I see it.No Self Promo Intended and I am sure it has not been taken either.get a life doppy

fordkiwi27, Oct 25, 11:58pm

whqqsh, Oct 26, 12:58am
I thought you were done!

sifty, Oct 26, 1:18am
a mouthy car salesman.!

Well I never.

aragorn2003, Oct 26, 1:36am
well that's 5 mins i'm not getting back.

gunhand, Oct 26, 2:13am
Chris Chris Chris, while I agree with what you have said here I have to point out that if you go to any Hot rod, Mustang, Ford or whatever (apart from Jap) you generaly see a bunch of middle aged guys all dressed in black jeans and tee shirts sporting some car logo or picture also all thinking there cool lol. Mind you they dont have there but cracks showing (most of the time) And interestingly have been sporting this fashion since at least the 60s.

magoo2, Oct 26, 2:27am
the beach hop is about the 50s and 60s and the cars are evocative of those decades.Nobody associates jap cars with that era.The only time 70s jappas are likely to be allowed to participate in the Beach hop is if they have a demolition derby

trouser, Oct 26, 2:39am
You have it all wrong. Desirable cars have outstanding features, were ahead of their time or had a enviable racing pedigree.

Your is a Corolla that Toyota didn't bother to produce many of.

probuild3, Oct 26, 2:47am
Send it back to Japan and shut up whinge face

paull, Oct 26, 3:11am
hahaha i reckon you should just go mate, hide around some corner and when theres a break in the traffic just pull out and cruize the night away, and then speed of into the night like batman,,,,,

mariska67, Oct 26, 4:07am
i reckon thats brilliant , sneak into the cruise lineup and dont stop for nothing!

jason_247, Oct 26, 4:57am
wow i cant believe you think that its discrimination to not let a small efficient japanese car from the 70s into a festival ALL about 1950s american big engine cars AND THE CULTURE FROM THAT ERA

if you have ever been to beach hop you will notice an abundance of 1950s era music and memorabilia , how many people do you think cruised around in their 1970s toyotas listening to that music compared to in an old belair!

why cant people respect that everyone has their own place to meet
old american cars and hot rods have beach hop
riced out jappashave every mcdonalds carpark every made
huge powerful 4wds have ponsonby cul de sacs
and you have a laptop in a tree house out the back of your house im guessing

finally to pull apart your story
the toyota museum isnt in tokyo its actually nearly 5 hours away near osaka

secondly if you were a car dealer turning over $10,000,000 of cars per year i doubt you would live in a crappy cookie cutter house like that

a 1976 toyota in mint condition is like a 65 year old virgin, just because shes mint doesnt mean shes desirable

i hope you get in because with all the shit you talk and all the people im sure you will piss off your perfect car is sure to get a dent or two then it will be worth all of $1200

jason_247, Oct 26, 4:58am
also i believe they nickname it a snake model because its the most legless piece of shit anyone had ever seen

whqqsh, Oct 26, 5:05am
I reckon the car is a possible entry. just not allowed to use the language on here about where I think he should enter it. may require some silicon though. & I dont mean tyre shine!

crankypants69, Oct 26, 5:19am
paint it green and it would make a brilliant "wheely bin"
but it does have very nice mudflaps!

bent_ate, Oct 26, 7:01am
Too bloody right. Take your shitbox jap crap elsewhere, cant believe OP even asked that question

tgray, Oct 26, 2:19pm
Thanks for my morning chuckle.classic!

morrisjvan, Oct 26, 2:34pm
the beach hop is for american cars, therefore a japanese one is not eligible,by the same token a 50 year old yank tank would not be welcomed at the 4's and rotary shows. It has nothing to do with the quality or rarity, but has everything to do with eligibility.

foxdonut, Oct 26, 7:41pm
Classic. Total classic.

paull, Oct 26, 9:47pm
can just see it now at the beach hop,the suns shining and not a breath of wind anywhere, there goes a classic camaro followed by a mustang and a dodge then NEK MINUTE what the hell its a 70 corolla coupe sneaked into the line up and quick get the wardens and evict this jap imposter, too late he has sped of into the horizon like batman,,,,
