Hi there,, just looking to purchase some speakers for my car. wondering if there is much difference between what seems to be the cheaper varietys (boschman, phillips, panasonic, benzer etc) and the more expensive (jvc, pioneer, sony etc) .any recommendations for someone on a budget wanting a decent sound! THANKS HEAPS

Show car or hack! I find that it depends on the person, go to SuperCheapAuto or Repco and have a listen to their soundwalls. don't be afraid to turn em up, that's what they're there for.

.but take your own source music. Demo'ing sound gear with an unknown piece of music means you can't tell if it's sounding good or not. May as well demo a big screen TV with a cartoon.

to an extent you need a reasonable speaker, but from there a lot comes down to how well they are installed
