Hi. Looking for a scenic drive near Wanganui, thinking of doing the Kauarapaoa Road from Aramoho to Bushy Park- how suitable is this for an ordinary family car! Found a gate across it at the Aramoho end last time so a little dubious. any local knowledge!

go for it, don't think there are any gates on it now. The road at the Kai Iwi end is a bit rough at the moment but nothing too bad.
