yogibearz, Jan 24, 2:09am

Genuine Jag filter for series 3 XJ6 : $28.00
Knock-off-slightly-too-long- item-which-was-a-total-bitch-to-fit from Repco : $48.00.
Always check you actually have a new filter in the garage (as opposed to an empty box you've helpfully put back on the shelf after the last oil change) before draining oil.!

fiatracer, Jan 24, 3:12am
can you guys stop posting examples of Euro car parts prices. I've always been told they're indecently expensive to service, and you're getting me all confused.

elect70, Jan 24, 3:23am

3tomany, Jan 24, 3:31am

Repco sells 'instant shudder fix' tubes for $68.00
EXACTLY the same product sells at BNT for $14.00
I'm not joking! same size, same product.

doug207, Jan 24, 4:35am
There tends to be an uber large markup at Ripco.
Stop shopping there, they're hopeless.

biddy6, Jan 24, 4:37am
What is "instant shudder fix" please enlighten me.

vtecnet, Jan 24, 4:44am
I paid about $12 last time for my 528i, you guys need to learn about online shopping :)

pfemstn, Jan 24, 4:48am
cheap filters are bad news! pulled filter out of 2004 325 yesterday and it had broken up, luckily all the pieces i could account for!

gasngo2, Jan 24, 4:53am
phone around different shops first, then go and purchase, you will be surprised at the prices, bnt=good.

moosie_21, Jan 24, 5:00am
Lol, even genuine high performance TRD filters are less than that from Toyota. Ripoff artists indeed!

phillip.weston, Jan 24, 5:06am
paid $8 for an oil filter for my VW Golf, repco was $30+. Heck even run of the mill prices at Repco are shocking - did a CV boot on a Subaru Impreza and it was going to be $32 at Repco and claimed it was specific for that model Impreza only and nothing else would interchange. Got the boot from Extreme for $7 and it was the same part number as the repco boot, and happened to fit Hondas, Subarus, Mitsubishis and Isuzus.

mothergoose_nz, Jan 24, 5:47am
daughter needed car done.parts from repco around $640 supercheap same parts $280

clark20, Jan 24, 5:48am
Its called market pricing, however it sounds like they are not keeping up. I remember some brake pads. cost $15, sell $80 because OE was $120.

tgray, Jan 24, 6:42am
There's a supercheap and repco store within 100 meters of each other on wairua rd glenfield. I have never found a part to be cheaper at repco. NEVER.

Have none of you noticed that Repco have"we will meet any price" or words to that effect on there store. You should use it and put them in there place (sort of). Of course it applies to the oppositions product not being on sale or clearance items and dosent apply to trade.
