Does anyone know what would stop a steel pipe that at one end, connects to the hose that goes to the bottom of the radiator and the other end goes to the engine somewhere (im guessing the water pump). Would bars leaks do it, or does it need some sort of silicon. Its like a pin hole size hole that even squirts out with the radiator cap off
Its a 87 Mirage

Go to Supercheap autos or Repco pronto and replace the old hose. Once you cook the motor through lack of water the car is 500.00 scrap.Very easy repair 30 minutes tops and about 20.00 hose.

Take it off and weld it.

yeah, I would replace it, but that requires taking off the manifold and other things to get to it, as its behind everything. its easy to get to, if it tacked from underneath the car

You're wasting your time trying to weld it. Google "electrolysis". The whole area will be corroded thin - that's just the first bit to leak.
That pipe will need replacing. This time put coolant in, not just plain water, and change it every 3-4 years.
