Calling all Subaru Experts

Okay, so I don't know if I've posted this in the right place or not but googling the problem doesn't bring up anything at will help me sort the problem.

So my cousin checked over my engine the other day.We got fed up with paying for the car to be checked and no one being able to find the problem. It turns out AFTER he asked if the car originally had a boost gage on it (it was removed before wer bought it) that he check the presure leads and bingo, we are missing 2.4 and 14 apparently. Now, the problem is, if it is simple enough to fix we would rather do it ourselves but we have NO idea where the leads need to connect.Apparently if we leave this too much longer we can do some serious damage to the engine. We've spent hundreds on dollars in the last year trying to fix everyone's 'theories' but there hasn't been any change. No 'check engine light' shows up yet so we know we are safe but we don't know for how much longer. We suspect one goes to the turbos as there isn't enough pressure and it's been confirmed that the turbos are fine.We have a 1996 RS Legacy salon and I am HOPING that someone on here might actually be able to help us out.Turbos are stock-standard, engine is a EJ20.Anyone able to tell us what we are doing and to include a diagram at all!Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. :)

First off Im pretty sure 96 lands on the change over year from 0BD1 to OBD2 ecu so if it is a OBD2 ecu you will need a scan to retrieve fault codes, Next thing is im guessing your talking about the vacum lines, number 2, 4 and 14 on the black box are missing or simply not there! If so, thats probably because there isn't anything ment to be there as per factory there spares. What is exactly your problem with the car!and early twin turbo vf13vf14 turbos are common for failure aswell so i wouldn't go striking it of the list just yet.

Hard to explain.Partner knows more of what's going on than I do as he seems to be more intune with the car than me - if that makes any sense. From what we can gather, we suspect when someone removed the boost gage, they either didn't know where the vacumn hoses were meant to go again or didn't think it would make a difference. So to anwser your question, number 4 and 14 are actually missing. We've had the car on the scanner in the past but it didn't bring up any faults in the engine.Would it be easier if I was to give you a contact number!Partner would actually be able to outline her details that way. Many thanks too. :)

Where abouts would I find the turbo number!I may be able to get to that to check it out as well.Again, thank-you so much. :)

Heres what ya do, undo the black box ''where all the vacum lines go'' view the inside and you'll have your answer, if theres no hose on the inside that connects to a sensor/soleniod inside of the black box then obviously there isn't ment to be 1 on the outside,Keep in mind that the primary turbo boost controller is mounted on the inner LHF guard and will have vac lines running to it aswell. Another way to figure it out is match it up with another bd/bg legacy and look for differences But would recommend you take it to a subaru specialist to save hassles and might not cost you much for a quote either, Also a faulty AFM maynot throw any codes either so check that its a blue sticker AFM and clean it and reco it if able,(see link below how this DIY is done). The turbos part number are on the top of the alloy housing but don't see how this will help you! however if you find them faulty hit me up because i have spares i can sell you cheap, just remove them both and check that there spinning with ease and turbine isnt touching housing etc b hope that helps.
