Have a 95 lancer, 1500cc carb engine. Is running really rough, worse when cold, coughs and serges when excellerating. Today changed air filter which was dirty and fuel filter but hasnt really made a difference. Any suggestions! Thanks

I would look at spark plugs, distributor rotor/cap and ignition leads.

probably not. But I would do an oil change anyway.

check that the auto choke is working properly, IIRC on those they are a water heated waxstat type which is sensitive to either blockage of the hoses going to it or low water levels.If it gets stuck in one position it can cause all sorts of driveability problems.

Must get the temperture up to normal in a couple of k's, if not thermostat would have failed.
