Standard as driven by an old guy. I didn't know they even came out as a sedan. It was the first one i've ever seen haha must be rare as!

panicky, May 19, 3:36am
oldschool!

mitsiboy69, May 19, 3:41am
yea as in the early 1990's turbo cyborgs, before they went to the 1600 mivec engines

gammelvind, May 19, 4:10am
Haha, damn I'm getting old, I still think of anything from the 90's as being quite a new car lol. Oldschool doesn't start till the 60's.

johnf_456, May 19, 4:12am
90's is pretty new to me and I ain't a old fart either. 90's is far from old school!

fordcrzy, May 19, 4:21am
90's IS NOT old skool!
i think the limit for that is about 1983

it's funny that the young are too young to know what old is.

mike107, May 19, 4:32am
Old is a 1973 Colt Galant GTO!

un_known, May 19, 5:06am
the changeover point for a vehicle being classed as oldskool is officially 20 years

mitsiboy69, May 19, 5:09am
haha well it was the first of the cyborg models. anyone who is my age (20) should appreciate how rare what I saw today was

johnf_456, May 19, 5:15am
Not everyone feels the same sorry to say.

mitsiboy69, May 19, 5:39am
Do you feel they are quite common bro

franc123, May 19, 6:37am
Says who!A 1990 vehicle, especially a Mitsubishi, is just another POS late for its appointment with the crusher, no matter what it is. The sooner it fails the WOF smoke test and gets chucked off the road the better, newishcrapper is a better term as opposed to oldschool. So I wonder how old this "old guy" who was driving this Cyborg was, 36!

mitsiboy69, May 19, 6:44am
hahaha nah he was proper old. like 70+

The point of this thread was the rarity of the model of car not the age, i know its not that old.

phillip.weston, May 19, 4:04pm
Yes they made a Mirage cyborg sedan and 3dr hatch, both available in either FWD or 4WD and either non-turbo or turbo. The liftback cyborg was badged as the Lancer GSR rather than a 'cyborg'.

franko171, May 19, 4:32pm
so if 20 yrs is changeover my 89 subaru leone 4wd is old school !

phillip.weston, May 19, 4:47pm
not a box shape leone but perhaps the rounder 70s shape before it, and the brumby.

mitsiboy69, May 19, 6:34pm
No it was badged as a cyborg which is why i was suprised.

And it wasn't a liftback it was a sedan.

mugenb20b, May 19, 7:32pm
Possibly, but you have to ask yourself, is it worthwhile investing money in a 20 y.o. Mitsi! A spare $10k for example is better invested in something that will grow in value, rather than depreciate.

phillip.weston, May 19, 7:32pm
You misread what I said entirely. YES there is a cyborg SEDAN, but it will be a MIRAGE. The only LANCER turbo of that shape will be the LIFTBACK, and NOT badged as a cyborg.

phillip.weston, May 19, 7:34pm
Mine's sat pretty steady in value over the last 5 years. I have been asked to sell it for over $1000 more than I paid for it over two years ago - surely that means that it is appreciating in value (or at least sitting steady) rather than depreciating.

mitsiboy69, May 19, 9:13pm
Ah yes I see. Would you agree that its a rear sight on our roads today

aragorn2003, May 19, 11:18pm
for sure a rare sight , same with the zr4s

saki, May 20, 12:14am
Old school is carbys, manual choke, steel wheels and half price rego with owners well older than there cars.

saki, May 20, 12:24am
Old school was when the dead sea was still alive.

chris241, May 20, 1:05am
Oh dang i thought my 1984 hj60 landcruiser was old school but im a year out
