Sweet, if its in good nick it should be worth the trip. Just be aware that a few of those didn't get imported with air conditioning (Fiat NZ have absolutely no clue) so if that is an issue perhaps check for that before making the trip.

The silly thing is the rest of the car is quite high spec.

Have just rung the owner of the Fiat, he says it is as good as it looks in pics, but does not have air conditioning. You were right on that point. But won't go to look until ALL money owing on this car is paid.

Early 1.6 rover 200/400's were fitted with the Honda engines with auto or manual gearbox, after BMW took charge the relationship with Honda deteriorated and rover were forced to barstardise the 1.4K series into something that should never have been developed (the 1.1/1.4 engine was never intended for anything bigger) the 1.6K16 was produced and fitted with a rather poor CVT box in the rover 200/25, The CVT's Ford used only lasted 50K miles, the rover auto box wasnt much better. My advice - if its a honda engine / gearbox it will go on for 100k+ miles, if its the rover engine the engine will probably outlast the CVT box. If you do have a K16 you must keep an eye on the coolant/temperature failiure to do so will result in HGF and possibly total engine loss, much the same as the 2.5/3L BMW engine's only a lot less expensive!, K series engines arent as bad as the fiat "Fire" engine for HGF but the fiat could withstand overheating for a while!
