Just run over a piece of rubble on the southern motorway .Smashed a hole in the front of the sump.Its a 2004 series 2 3.8 v6 . The sump is cast alloy. Can anyone tell me,are the same sumps used on all commodores post 2000 or is series 1 different from series2,also can anew one be bolted on without lifting the motor!Any help much appreciated.

I would have thought they'd use the same from the VT to VZ! Someone will correct me no doubt.

Sumps are the same VT-VY. Drury Car parts will more than likely have one.
