So, my fellow work mate decided to buy his first pocket rocket. Not to bad of a machine if i say so myself, although this is now a bit of a problem. He was driving home last night when all the dash lights, electrics and everything of the like just died. Car still worked and ran, except when he started to slow down and then it died/cut out. Almost like a stall in a manual. (this one is tiptronic) Had a couple of people suggest it's the alternator/battery. Anyone else got any clues! Otherwise i'm stuck as his taxi to work for another few days. And i'm lazy.
OH! The headlights still worked the whole time.
Anyone got any clues as to what it could be! Thanks in advance!

Should add that once it cut out, it took about half an hour before it would start again. And we believe the battery is now dead :(

sounds like alternator problems.

Sounds like you lost an alternator drive belt.
