having trouble removing it from the drivers side panel - am needing to replace it - tipsorhelp on how this is done would be much appreciated!

If its anything like the vk one it slots in forward and then slides back .so try sliding the whole leverforward toward the firewall then angle out the rear .if it aint the same. your back to square one .lol.
