Mine doesnt have one. Check engine light comes on if you drive it with too low fuel though.

Hi crs87, sorry to give you a simple answer, but does the car have a fuel gauge! Surely that's enough to let you know how much fuel it has!

Take a 5L petrol can with you (with fuel in it of course).

First i've heard of it, perhaps ya should check the ecu fault codes, The first thing i do when i buy a car is run it out of petrol.
