Sounds to me that you have dropped the rubber washer (Reaction disc) when you have pulled the pushrod out of the booster.

Usually start l/r then r/r then l/f then r/f then master cyl.

always start bleeding at the nipple further est from the master cylinder and work your way back to the closest.normally starting lh rear and finishing rh front if the master cylinders on the right hand side

will have another go at bleeding tomorrow, Also dont think there is a reaction disc in there either. there is steel on steel inside the booster.(the pushrod face is steel on steel with the round hole it sits in)

Probably sitting in the bottom of the booster, can try take booster off and shake it out the hole, refit with grease on the end off pushrod. I think this is the prob as you say you have a good pedal until you start up. If you have a brake specialist in town may be easier to buy one (o:
