Or recognise the difference between a park brake and a hand brake. I have a vehicle that will not allow the footbrake (park brake) to lock engage whilst the vehicle is in drive .Upon startup.it will only release when the vehicles auto is shifted out of park. it does so automatically when the shifter is moved.When out of park it will not click lock but will engage albeit if you remove your foot it will not lock .as the only time it will click lock is if the vehicle is in park.Is this legal !.This pedal is seperate to the main braking pedal.

Must be a Yank Tank - yes it's legal. You can do a stall test by holding it down with the left foot in drive.

Thanks for that .wofs coming up .thought it might cause a prob as i know some of the jappers actually click lock and unlock if you press down again.Cheers .yep its made in detroit.lol
