Great advertising for Strong Subaru, what a bunch of professionals huh.

marlbra, Feb 18, 10:12pm
ohhhh and glad that wasnt MY car parked behind it

brookesy, Feb 19, 12:02am
so not taking our
car to them now

pebbles61, Feb 19, 6:30am
lol agreed, but from the video it sounds like it was the shop's car.

morrisman1, Feb 19, 6:35am
I thought load was healthy because it reduced the tensile load on the conrod because combustion pressures were higher. I may be wrong though.

matthew_129, Feb 19, 8:31am
as said up there, Strongs are a wreckers/dismantlers so all the comments about not taking your own car there are irrelevant. But hey, why not kill the motor it was only going to go in the scrap pile anyway

pebbles61, Feb 19, 8:33am
Surely they could salvage some parts of the engine! buggered if I know. seems a bit of a waste, but then again it's only a Jappa.

satans_child_nz, Feb 19, 7:43pm
we have plenty of motors in stock, and all spare parts, but we just had a one off experiment on a saturday with a buggered motor that was going to be scrapped anyway.

male_timaru, Feb 19, 7:59pm
As i stated on their channel - makes me want to AVOID buying parts from that company to be perfectly honest - what a bunch of muppets!

friendly_prawn, Feb 19, 8:02pm
Why M.T, what's the problem!

male_timaru, Feb 19, 8:04pm
How many other cars have the done that to for fun and then we've bought the parts from them for our cars believing we have bought good quality good condition 2nd hand stuff off them - i think (personally) it shows a lack of intelligence from the owners - if they then stated none of the parts would be for sale then that would be at least understandable but going through which parts can and can't be sold after it - idiotic ! I won't buy from them again that is for sure after watching that video

friendly_prawn, Feb 19, 8:15pm
ahh, ok lol

satans_child_nz, Feb 20, 2:06am
rest assured mr timaru, this video does not represent the quality of parts in stock, the staff chose the best parts from the donor vehicles for sale. odviously the engine/parts in the video were not destined for sale. view this one-off as a 'what would happen' expriment for those curious to watch.

supertech1, Feb 20, 3:01am
Be good if some Holden wreckers did the same

mugenb20b, Feb 20, 8:49am
Just because an engine blows up doesn't mean the air flow meter or brake callipers are no good.

1ollie, Feb 21, 1:35am
Kinda lame blow up but funny still.
And Strong for Subaru are a pretty professional company when it comes to the parts they sell an warrentys they give just because some of the boys in the yard had some fun does not mean they are going to rip you off and if you think this reflects there parts you are a bit silly lol and do you think this is the only wreckers in the contry that does this sort of thing! i mean come on they are car wreckers!
