Jus wondering what main problem would it be when the 'check engine' light comes up on the dash then motor dies straight away, then leave it for couple min and it goes for a bit then it repeats. !

You really need to have the ECU checked for trouble codes. This can be done by a mechanic or auto sparky. If you like, I can provide the info for you to check yourself!
i have done this and i have the check engine light sequence code, but how do interrperate the flashing code into the number code to determine the cause of the problem, this is the code, flash 1x 1.5sec pause flash 4x 3sec pause flash 2x .5sec pause flash 1x then 6sec pause to repeat sequence. any ideas ! cheers
