have a mitsi canter with a 12v radio fitted, reception seems a lot less when truck is running but stronger when key is in acc position anyone have any ideas to solve! sick of listening to static on the road and im bored with my cd collection

Factory! If so, throw it out and put a new one in. Replace the antennal as well.

I would assume a bad earth somewhere. In most cases, the aerial is mounted so that it acts like an earth. Or a damaged aerial/plug/cable. Is the radio aftermarket!

Put a radio suppressor on the alternator, cost about $10. or is that only for am & not fm! anyone!

Might as well have our radio. brand new car with 9 speaker stereo, switched it off when we left the dealers and haven't used it since . Hate a radio in a car. I like to hear whats going on around me
