Reserve is reasonable, hopefully it will sell without the auction being wrecked this time

fryan1962, Apr 17, 5:31am
oh noooooooooo not again

tonyrockyhorror, Apr 17, 5:41am
It's the gift that keeps on giving!

gorgie14b, Apr 17, 5:44am
I don't know the guy, but am beginning to feel sorry for him. By constantly bringing this auction and its predecsssors onto the messge boards, people are drawing attention to the saga, and encouraging the continual abuse of the seller and sabotage of his auctions. At this reserve now, it appears to be fairly priced, judging by the bidders and the comments on its previous auctions.
Lets just let the darn thing sell! Good luck to the seller. Hopefully this time round you can sell it without too much strife from people.

andrea_w, Apr 17, 6:02am
That's a bit more realistic.
japiwi.boys - good luck with the sale (I know you're probably reading this). Hopefully it actually sells this time!

nightboss, Apr 17, 6:09am
Surely there are better records than most times relisted on TradeMe to be aiming for.
As for sympathy, it needs to be earned.

sheepey, Apr 17, 6:10am
If he's who i think he is, him and his father went out of their way to help me a while ago, nothing in it for them but they did it none the less,I found them both to be great.Seeing what is going on with the auction seems to be the way of things on here these days. It's no wonder so many of the :"good buggers" that used to appear here choose to just not bother now!

aragorn2003, Apr 17, 2:41pm
Why didn't he just offer it to the next bidder , why go through all the rigmarole of listing it again and potentially getting another dud bidder.

esprit, Apr 17, 3:05pm
Surrrrree. timewasters. that's why it was relisted [/facepalm]

esprit, Apr 17, 3:10pm
Because he's a narcissist who seems to think the car's worth way more than what it actually is, and I'm very doubtful the last bidder was a faker. given how difficult we all know the seller is to communicate with.

xpfairmont, Apr 17, 3:13pm
who the hell would buy it now! You'll be driving along and people might think that you are the previous owner!

ninja_man, Apr 17, 3:30pm
if he had any brains at all, he should just relist it as a classified so that only serious buyers will contact him.

socram, Apr 17, 3:58pm
Exactly.Either it has a reserve or it hasn't.It has had more (free) publicity than any other item ever listed on TM, so let us all hope it is sold.

thunderbolt, Apr 17, 5:01pm
I think the "maori" plate still holds that title.

motorboy2011, Apr 17, 5:06pm
ok so this time the guy did seem to have a genuine time waster (he has left bad feedback), but what about all the other times it "sold" to the highest bidder! no sympathy for him.

foxdonut, Apr 17, 5:39pm
"meh"

It's a heap of crap and this thread is going to get deleted like all the others.

foxdonut, Apr 17, 5:44pm
Also, not even worth half the price.

trdbzr, Apr 17, 7:27pm
Whatever happened to the $17k he was offered for it by a museum in Japan!

nightboss, Apr 17, 9:21pm
When will you learn to think before typing Fox!

If this thread is removed it will be because of dumb postings. Swearing, singling out individuals, threats, etc etc - if you want to continue posting in these threads, read and know the rules.

There is nothing wrong with the car, it is rare and in good condition, the market will decide it's value. It has had more interest and viewers than any other auction for a 1970's jap car, yet it has not moved to a new home. Not a "heap of crap" as you stated, otherwise why did you offer $18,500 for it on Friday 23rd Mar 2012 at 5:26pm!

"""Hi. We've decided we would like to make an offer of 18,500 with two simple conditions, would you be interested! foxdonut (8 )5:26 pm, Fri 23 Mar
I am happy with $18,000 so no need to offer any more, What are the conditions of sale you are referring to ! 6:03 pm, Fri 23 Mar """

foxdonut, Apr 17, 9:23pm
Clue in ya numpty. I was having a laugh with the guy, like you do with those dipshits in Nigeria - asking them for pictures doing stupid things like holding a fish on his head.

You've obviously saved all the QA - what else do I mention!

Work it out.

foxdonut, Apr 17, 9:24pm
And its still just an old corolla. Not even worth 4 grand.

Otherwise "Toyota japan" would have brought it.

Duuuurrrr.

a.woodrow, Apr 17, 9:29pm
What were the two conditions for the $18,500!
Man I was gutted the last question was removed!

nightboss, Apr 17, 9:38pm
Name calling, nice mature move there. You were not "having a laugh with the guy", you were having a laugh AT the guy.

No I have not "saved" all the Q&A, they are available for all TM members to see. I recommend researching all vehicle auctions before placing a legally binding bid.

Easy to see closed auctions, on TM homepage click "more options" beside "search" button. On next page enter details as required and click search button, easy.

You really should do something about your temper, it will lead you to trouble otherwise.

foxdonut, Apr 17, 9:42pm
Psh.

Whos payroll are you on!

Nark.

bellky, Apr 17, 9:43pm
Good on ya nightboss.
