It sure is a VN Calais grille.just painted & looks to be missing the all important 3 lower mounting pins (holds the grille to the bumper making it secure at the bottom)

My Calais one wasnt chrome & have noticed any that were, just painted silver, maybe youre mistaking it for Statesman, I think they were

I have an aussie 1 too,it was chromed, now painted silver same as the car,but is smashed too.

But. the 'rim' is chromed, just had a look.
