I have a rsk subaru b4 108000kms has started making wineing sound in front. Could this be the front diff! gearbox still nice and tight.

Lift the car up on hoist or 4 axle stands so all wheels off the ground. And start engine select gear and look at all the wheels spinning, if 1 or 2 are slower or hesitant then bearing or hub is your problem. usually the left front due to curbing

It just went through testing station warrent could they of missed it if it was a wheel bearing!
