The oil light has just started to come on in this vehicle - who can tell me where to locate the oil pressure switch!I want to get on to it first thing Monday so if I know exactly where to start it woiuld be helpful. Also - if the switch is OK then I may have to replace the olil pump - can I get to it if I remove the sump on this model!Any assistance appreciated.

Time for a silly question - Have you checked the oil level and when was the last service!

I would think that if the oil light is "just starting to come on" that you might want to try a service before you look too much further.

Or clean the oil pick up screen.

Aye another good Idea. In my experience a dodgy pressure sensor usually just outright fails and the light stays on. In this case it sounds like it's actually caused by low oil pressure, and as I don't believe I've ever replaced a honda oil pump in my life, nor ever heard of one failing I would suspect starvation caused by dirty old oil or a blocked pick up
