Can anyone please tell me if a 2litre non turbo Subaru performs well! or should I only consider the 2.5! Thanks

Yeah goes fine depending on what model you are looking at. Dont go 2.5 unless its 03 onwards as earlier ones are horrible motors

It depends on what size of Subaru you are looking at, age of and condition of the Subaru. Do you intend towing ! Is fuel economy important to you ! How important is all wheel drive to you etc !

Stock standard ,only average performance and not great fuel economy. You get what you pay for.

All wheel drive needed on our property, not intended to do any major towing, maybe trailer load of wood etc. Fuel economy is important as we do long trips for medical purposes and to carry a wheelchair.we are wanting to get something around the 2000-2002 model. Again unsure as to whether to get a 2litre or 2.5.

Go the 2litre. There are also the 2.2 in the Brighton Legacys to consider

older pre 2000's 2.5's notorious for head gaskets, aim for a 3.0 or a 2.0 T
