Is it external or is it in the timing cover driven by the chain! Is it an easy one to replace!

External, difficult to get to.

Did a Nissan Primera SR20 last week. Best bet may be to unbolt the engine mount on the water pump end of motor and then jack the motor up a bit to allow easier access. While you are doing all that work anyway you may as well check and replace any of the worn or perished belts as well. Have fun.

For the GA engine, its external but you need to remove the Aux belts. Not too bad of a job. Trickiest bits is to get the bolts for the thermostat housing out of the water pump when it is in place. Just requires small hands as the brake master cylinder tends to get in the way. Should take a competant newbie about an hour and a half all up
