a faulty alternator maybe

1. Check alternator belt is there and tight.
2. Check your fuses and fusible links.
3. Check that your battery terminals are tight, incuding the earth that goes from the negative to the body.
4. Check the charge rate between battery terminals using a multimeter. It should charge at around 14V.

1 2 and 3 have not helped and I don't have a multimeter, I had just replaced the front indicator lights so that must have caused but not sure how.

Are they identical to the ones you replaced
This was a very important piece of info you left out.
Anything else you changed or fitted!

Sounds like something is not quite right with the new ones, maybe wiring is different.
