my drivers side door lock wont open properly with the key can i swap passenger side lock with it or is it more complicated than that,,cheers for any info,,,

It's more complicated. the rods for the lock will be around the opposite way. Maybe try fine a 2nd hand lock & get a locksmith to match it to your key.

They are interchangeable on most cars, you need to take the little arm off the back of the lock and turn it 180 degrees to make a mirror image.

If you are going to the trouble of removing the lock, you may as well take it to a locksmith to get repaired. Its not very expensive;)
