Jesus! $11k for an old Smurf! OK, the 3.0 litre V6 is an unreliable, thirsty, gutless POS. Cylinder heads crack due to a design fault. Stay well clear of it.

You can buy a later (KZN185 chassis) Surf for the same money.

2.7 litre, chain driven petrol seems to be a good donk in the newer Surfs.

ive just bort a 94 4cyl 3ltr diesel turbo surf wilth 187000k off a car yard for 6k and spent another 1k cambelt oils filters ect and cv boots it seems to be a good buy so far. im doin 300ks a week towning a tripple axle trailer day in day out its costing me $80 in diesel a week plux tax , i was useing my ram and it was costing me $100 a day to run so it was a good change .
