lol i have to admit i giggled! we ride but we wear helmets and proper leathers! enjoyment can be done so safely! also i have to say at least full faced helmets stop bugs hitting ya face and your eyes dont water!

Yep. Even if it was legal to ride helmet-less in NZ I would still wear one. I have the scars and vivid memories of how badly things can go wrong. Good gear saved my life.

Me too(for motorcycling), but not when I'm doing 70 + kph down a hill clad in two items of lycra and a helmet.

Helmets are great but I still think the best bit of safety kit is whats between your ears.

I remember something similar but he was passing us riding in the breakdown lane, or the guy with his little kid on the back wearing equally stupid non-protective gear (at least he wasn't speeding).This was in Aus mind you.
